Fantastic Rutledge Roper Bits. Has 5" mouth with 7" floating shanks. Made of stainless steel with a nice sweet iron mouth. This may look like a strong bit, but if used with a moderately snug curb, the bit or mouth piece will continue to lay flat across the horse's mouth and bars. This bit has been used successfully with horses that have split or damaged tongues or are just plain anxious about their mouths. Again because the shanks float, they allow the curb to move from side to side, it is a new sensation for most horses. Horses seem to go progressively better within a few days of using this bit.
